Government made decision on division of Zeleznice in four companies

The Government of Serbia has made formal decision on divison of Zeleznice Srbije in four companies: "Holding", "Infrastruktura", "Srbija voz", "Kargo" – it was communicated to Tanjug at the Ministry of construction, traffic and infrastructure.

The Decision will become effective in ten days after publication at the Official Gazette.

At the meeting on Thursday, the Government made decision on statutory acts and acts of three new companies: "Infrastruktura zeleznice", "Srbija voz" and "Srbija kargo" and appointed heads so in the next six months, competitions will be released and as for now, people who will implement statutory acts have been appointed.

According to governmental plan and the letter of intentions sent to IMF, deadline for division of "Zeleznice Srbije" was July 1. However, the Ministry of construction, traffic and infrastructure says the reform is running in line with the plan.
