VP of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, said on Saturday, June 27, 2015, that the project of rehabilitation of 1.100 km of Serbia has started where in the next three years EUR 400 m will be invested, it was stated at the official website of the Government of Serbia.
After the opening of newly-built bridge in Kotlujevac at Zajecar, Mihajlovic said the first works started at the Arandjelovac-Krcevac section and outlined that this year, EUR 60 m will be invested in roads rehabilitation.
The project of road network rehabilitation, as she reminded, is funded through the loans of WB, EIB and EBRD where the state set aside a portion of funds as well.
According to her, criteria for sections selection was to rehabilitate places which are the least safe where there is no part of Serbia which will be left out of the project.
VP of the Government estimated that the most important thing is that local companies carry out the works which are now contractors, not sub-contractors.
