BIP sold for 26,5 millions EUR to a Swedish-Lithuanian consortium

Share’s fund and Agency for privatization signed yesterday (July, 24th, 2007) a contract of sale of 51,9% of the shares of “Belgrade beer industry” (BIP) with the first ranged bidder – a consortium “United Nordic Beverages” from Sweden and “Alita” from Lithuania for a total of 26,5 millions EUR.

Lithuanian – Swedish consortium offered 21,4 millions EUR for the purchase of BIP capital, which is little bit more than 4,5 millions EUR per share, and investment program in the value of 5,1 millions EUR an it accepted the obligations of mandatory social program.

At the public tender for the company AD BIP Belgrade, published on January, 26th of this year, there were offered 4.726.265 shares, which represent 51,9% of the capital of Belgrade’s beer factory and two offers were submitted by deadline.

The second bidder was ‘Pivovarna Lasko’ from Slovenia.
