NIS is expecting approval of the loan on 282 millions EUR

General Director of Petrol industry of Serbia, Srdjan Bosnjakovic, said that they were expecting from the Government of Serbia approval of the loan in the value of 282 millions EUR, which would be used for modernization of refineries and for solving of ecological problems. Bosnjakovic also said that the intention of NIS to commerically gets in debts was a consequence of privatization postponing, because of which, a part of planned investing which were supposed to be secured from the process, was delayed for the next year.

- It is a matter of credit potential which is necessary in order to fullfill requests demanded by the privatization adviser, which is above all the solution for all ecology problems and getting the product quality by 2009, that is the standards of the European Union in 2010. This investing cycle is necessary and it certainly brings up the value of NIS.

Bosnjakovic also explained that it is a matter of a credit of 282 millions plus 90 millions, which is related to the substitute of capitalization source, and it will be used by 2010 for equipment purchase and project conductors. According to his words, more money would be invested in refineries, after 15 years time, and then also in building and renovation of gas stations, as well as in concession arrangements abroad.

Bošnjaković je objasnio da se radi o kreditu od 282 mil EUR plus 90 mil EUR, koji je, kako je naveo, "vezan za supstituciju izvora dokapitalizacije", a koristiće se do 2010. za nabavku opreme i za izvođače radova. Prema njegovim rečima, najviše novca će biti uloženo u rafinerije, u koje nije ulagano poslednjih 15 godina, sledi investiranje u izgradnju i obnovu benzinskih stanica, kao i u koncesione aranžmane u inostranstvu.
