MALI: Plan for first metro line by year's end

Belgrade Mayor Sinisa Mali said that the exact route of the first line of the Belgrade metro should be determined by the year's end. Mali hopes that they will find a way through talks with the French government to finance this strategically important project for the Serbian capital.
Mali reminded that an agreement on joint work on the construction of metro in the Serbian capital had been signed in November 2014, during the stay of French Prime Minister Manuel Valls in Belgrade, Tanjug news agency reports.
Mali added that he had also talked with French MPs about waste management projects and possible cooperation between French companies and Belgrade-based power plants and water supply company.
As Mali pointed out, the role of Belgrade is to revive the Serbian economy and attract as many investors as possible, that is, to show French companies that they have interest to invest in Serbia and its capital city.
- These talks confirm and reflect a high level of friendship and cooperation between Serbia and France - the mayor stressed and expressed gratitude to the guests from France for staying in Belgrade, inviting them to visit him again.
