BOGOSAVLJEVIC BOSKOVIC: Serbia gets Agricultural Bank with 530 employees

Serbian Agriculture Minister Snezana Bogosavljevic-Boskovic announced today that the Administration for Agrarian Payments would be gradually transformed into the Agricultural Bank of Serbia that would have 530 employees, 103 of whom should be experts.

The headquarters of the Administration for Agrarian Payments will be relocated from Sabac to Belgrade because this body should gradually grow into the Agricultural Bank, the minister said at a session of the Parliamentary Board for Agriculture.

As she pointed out, this relocation does not necessarily mean that institutions must be moved to the capital at all costs, but instead that it is necessary to do that in this case for the purpose of establishing aforementioned bank and because it was agreed so with European institutions providing financial support to the project.

The bank's headquarters will be situated in Belgrade, while its offices will be opened all around Serbia, the minister announced.
