Hungary puts fence 4 meters high at the border with Serbia because of immigrants

Hungary will place fence four meters high along its border with Serbia to prevent illegal immigrants, Hungarian minister of external affairs, Peter Siarto , has communicated today.

- Immigration is one of the most serious problems EU is facing today – Siarto said at the press conference.

Siarto said that EUR countries have been looking for solution but Hungary “cannot afford waiting”, Reuters reported.

- We are speaking about the border of 175 km, which can physically close with fence four high. The minister of internal affairs got instruction to prepare it – he added.

Preparations should end by next Wednesday, Siarto said and Hungarian agency MTI reported.
