NCR to hire 800 people in Serbia by year's end

Serbia is an excellent hub for the entire region, and the NCR headquarters in Belgrade is a brillian example of what can be achieved through public-private partnership (PPP), said company representative Marija Zivanovic Smit.
- During the visit of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic to Washington, we talked about existing projects in Serbia and the performance of our operations and information center. Support provided by the Serbian government is crucial for investments and development projects in the region - she said in a statement to Tanjug news agency.
As she noted, talented manpower is one of the key factors allowing Serbia to attract foreign investments and this helped them decide to open the biggest operations center in Belgrade.
- In cooperation with local partners, as well as national and local authorities, we've significantly improved our operations and hope to keep it that way in the future - Ms. Zivanovic Smit added.
- Our job is dynamic and we must make sure to employ only the most talented people who will be able to provide necessary support to our clients. The aim is to hire additional 800 people by the year's end, which would then raise the total number of employees to minimum 1,421, and we believe we will manage to do that - she said.
The American hi-tech company that specializes in products related to services of retailing, finance, travel, health care, diet, entertainment and public sector operates in Serbia since 2011, whereas its operations and information center was opened in Belgrade in 2012.
