MIHAJLOVIC: We are building 250 bridges, 150 km of highway

(Zorana Mihajlovic) VP of the Government and the minister of construction, traffic and infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, has said today that at the moment, Serbia is building 250 bridges at Corridors 10 and 11 and that in the next three years, it will rehabilitate 1.100 km of roads as well as that the objective is to be among the first 10 countries when it comes to business environment terms at the World Bank list.

- We expect to move 30 places at least at this year’s World Bank list and we will not stop here. The Government of Serbia split the tasks to all resources with respect to what it takes to achieve the objective and that is to be on mid-terms among the first 10 countries listed when it comes to World Bank report on Doing business – Mihajlovic said at the Economic Summit in Belgrade whose media partner is Tanjug biz.

At the moment, Serbia is building ten times more than two-three years ago, she said and added that Serbia is speeding up its construction of infrastructure, specifying that at the moment 150 km of highway has been under construction now, 86 km of which to be completed this year.

Mihajlovic added that 150 km of road network has been rehabilitated in Serbia at the moment.

As she said, WB countries, Serbia among them, are not waiting for Godot but they are working at fast pace on infrastructure development and increase of their economic growth.
