Nutela prices will jump

Fans of the best-selling cream in the world are afraid of high cream price jump.

Hazelnut collection in Turkey failed this year due to frost which damaged plants. Therefore, it is expected that hazelnut price will increase over 66% and it could result in Nutela price increase since hazelnut is the main cream ingredient.

During the previous year, hazelnut price increased by 65% on the average and in the past month, 7,7% more.

Nutela-addicts are afraid of sharp Nutela price increase as well as other candies which contain this ingredient.

Since cacao price also jumped by 9, 2%, bad hazelnut harvest is only a reason more for Nutela price to increase.

This is the second year in a row when hazelnut quantities decreased in which produces 70% of hazelnut at the world market.

- Lack of hazelnut is continuing and it must affect price, the Grocer magazine is writing.

Stormy finds and frost destroyed plants in the blooming stage and they did not develop further.

"Ferrera" has not communicated yet how hazelnut lack will affect consumers’’ pockets but they believe at least they will not have troubles in Nutela production since last year they bought Turkish biggest hazelnut producer - "Oltan" company.
