IKEA pours a billion euros in green energy

IKEA decided to invest EUR 1 billon in Serbia so that it would become energy independent company till 2020. Swedish giant will pour EUR 600 m in renewable energy sources and EUR 400 m in the fund for fight against climate changes. Some half a billion euros will be invested in wind energy and some EUR 100 m in solar energy until 202.

IKEA communicated these initiatives are a part of effort to speed up transition in economy with low pollution rate.

During previous six years, IKEA has already poured EUR 1,5 billion in renewable energy sources. As for now, it managed 314 wind turbine and it installed 700.000 solar panels on their buildings worldwide.
