The conference was attended by Serbian Minister of Construction, Transportation and Infrastructure Zorana Mihajlovic, who said that strategic partnership that enabled production boosts in Serbia represented a good way to develop.
- More than 250 bridges are under construction in Serbia. We expect a Request for Proposals to be launched soon for the Srpska Kuca-Levosoje stretch on Corridor X, which is also a business opportunity for this Serbian-Swiss partnership - said Mihajlovic.
Miodrag Mircetic, a senior partner at Produkt BG Inzenjering, noted that that partnership would make it possible for Serbia to produce goods in line with global standards and sell them in Serbia and the region as well as in the EU.
As our interlocutor explains, the company is preparing for the expansion of capacity and introduction of technology standards its must comply with because of Swiss and European norms. They hope to have a more serious production of bearings as early as next year and to export them around the world via Mageba.
Niculin Meng from Mageba says to our web portal that they have picked the Serbian company for a partner because our market seriously needs new infrastructure.
- We will back them in engineering activities, and our local partner will be responsible for both products and expansion. They will be producing for us, other countries and projects - Niculin Meng says to eKapija.
Thanks to cooperation with one of the world's leading suppliers of bearings, expansion joints and other products for traffic infrastructure and bridge building, Produkt BG Inzenjering expects to increase its annual turnover, which is now at about EUR 1 million, within the next three or four years.
