Dragiša Aranđelović's honey on dining tables in Vienna

Famous beekeeper in Braničevo region, Dragiša Aranđelović (68), from village of Kudreš near Kučevo, turned his hobby into business four decades ago.

He annually produces about three tons of honey, propolis and other honey products. He produces acacia, linden and meadow honey.

- I have 80 beehives, in which bees are protected in an up-to-date way, and frames are smaller than classical ones, but there are much more of them for every "company", which gives about 40 kg of honey at average - this experienced beekeeper explains.

The quality of his product has opened the market in Vienna for him, and only small part of products stays for friends and family. He inherited this trade from his grandfather, so that the two of his beehives, in his colorful beegarden on the slopes of the Homoljske mountains, are genuine rarity, because they are about 60 years old.
