Serbian National Committee of the International Council on Large Electric Systems - CIGRE Serbia held 32nd Conference in the period from 17th to 21st of May 2015 at Mount Zlatibor, with the support from the Ministry of Mining and Energy of the Republic of Serbia, Public Enterprise Electric Power Industry of Serbia and Public Enterprise Elektromreza Serbia.
ABB in Serbia traditionally participates in CIGRE Serbia conference and on this occasion they presented solutions in the field of production, transmission and distribution of electricity.
As ABB said in a release, during the conference, Robert Trivellone, marketing and sales manager from Power Products Division in Italy, held a well attended presentation where he presented new solutions for mobile high-voltage substations with multifunction modules (MFM) 72.5 kV to 420 kV.
MFMs are compact multifunctional modules capable of combining in a single product the following functions: High-voltage switchgear, Power transformer, Medium-voltage switchgear and Control and protection.
MFMs cover a range of equipment for electrical installations, completely assembled and tested at the factory, easy to transport and install. Combining the modules makes it possible to create any type of mobile or fixed station.
Applications of such compact sollutions are: Integration of renewable power to the grid, Rapid or temporary substation applications, and Power generation.
In addition, ABB has participated in the technical exhibition CIGRE Serbia EXPO 2015, where over 600 scientists and experts, as well as business people from electric companies, institutes, designing companies and the faculty had the opportunity to talk to ABB officials and get more information regarding the ABB equipment and products, as well as the latest technical advances and solutions in the production of electric power equipment.
