Trade exchange between Serbia and Bulgaria totals EUR 600 m - There is potential for strengthening cooperation

Economies of Bulgaria and Serbia have all the preconditions and potentials to cooperate well and mutual interest is to increase in the upcoming period scope of trading exchange, improve goods exchange structure, use all advantages of cross-border cooperation and regional cooperation as well as cooperation of SMEs, it was communicated today at the Business forum Serbia-Bulgaria at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce.

The minister of mining and energy, Aleksandar Antic said in his addressing representatives of economic sector of Serbia and Bulgaria that business cooperation, i.e. cooperation of companies is very important as well as that it is important to find mutual interests for cooperation.

As he said, political relations of Serbia and Bulgaria are at the highest level and they should represent good chance for strengthening business cooperation and economic relations as well as that scope of trading exchange is increased to the highest level.

Gas interconnection between Serbia and Bulgaria should end by 2018 so that in 2019 the first gas quantities could be delivered – Antic said.

Antic said that 60% of gas pipeline will be located at the territory of Serbia and Bulgaria from the EU funds trying to provide funding of the section construction.
