"Agricultural Cluster Rakovica" to be founded - project worth 79,530 EUR

In Town Hall Rakovica, the contract will be signed tomorrow on founding of "Agricultural Cluster Rakovica", and the project, worth 79,530 EUR, will be realized prior to mid-August.

Town Hall Rakovica participates in financing of this project with 12.2%, while European Union provided about 69,000 EUR. The project will be realized by European Agency for Reconstruction within scope of "SME Development Support Program".

Aim of the project is founding of agricultural cluster, so that the competitiveness of manufacturers in this domain could be improved, new methods of business management introduced and unemployment rate in that city borough decreased.

The project includes management and marketing training and introduction of HACCP standard, which enables export to the market of European Union.

Cluster, a form of business organization, enables joint appearance on the market to its members, as well as various benefits, such as lower purchasing price and easier distribution of products on mini markets in Rakovica, while citizens will get larger and more favorable offer.

Regional SME Development Center will be a partner on the project for realization of consulting services in this field.
