Montenegro obtained third operator - M:tel

The third mobile telephony operator in Montenegro, company M:tel, which was founded by "Telekom Srbije" and Dutch company "Ogular", started with work yesterday (July 9, 2007).

Representatives of M:tel said that the signal for users in Montenegro, so far, covered the territory of Podgorica and municipalities on the coast, that is, 23% of Montenegrin territory with 53% of poopulation.

By the end of September, as it was pointed out, complete territory of Montenegro will be covered.

New operator uses area code 068, and Montenegrin citizens are now offered "Hello" pripaid package and two basic postpaid packages, "Relax 5" and "Relax 20".

The price of one minute of talk inside the network amounts to 0.06 EUR, 0.12 EUR for talks outside the network, while talks between "Friends&Family" numbers cost 0.04 EUR. SMS messages on territory of Montenegro and Serbia cost 0.02 EUR, while MMS costs 0.25 EUR.

M:tel also offers services of third generation of mobile phones, such as videophony, live video, television and fast internet, as well as possibility of electronic topping up of credit.

By using electronic top-up, prepaid users will be able to top up credit on all retail spots with so-called POS terminal.

Roaming services for territory of Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina will be free of charge for all incoming calls.

Postpaid users will be paying 0.12 EUR for one minute of talk inside the network of "Telekom Srbije" and to landline numbers on the territory of Serbia and Bosnia and HErzegovina, while prepaid users will be paying 0.14 EUR for the same calls.
