Amendments to Privatization and Standardization Law adopted - Privatization process must be finished by 31 December 2015

The Parliament of Serbia today adopted amendments and supplements to the Privatization Law, which call for the extension of the deadline for privatization of companies of strategic importance and firms located in Kosovo. As explained, the aim of these amendments is to successfully determine the fate of companies that meet requirements for privatization as well as to confirm the real state of their assets, liabilities and capital, that is, to determine their real market value.
According to the Privatization Law, 31 December 2015 is the final deadline for privatization of all 526 companies in the portfolio of the Privatization Agency.
