Freight cars of Kraljevo-based factory, worth 40m EUR, travel to Germany

Railway Car Factory from Kraljevo will produce 915 freight cars worth 45m EUR for German railways prior to end of 2009.

Manager of that factory, Boško Slavković, said that the trial car had passed first tests successfully and that the intensive production of freight cars for German railways would start after the new checks in Czech Republic.

He pointed out that the general reaction of German buyers was positive and that the signal was given for the factory to start production, so that the preparations were underway.

- This process will represent the beginning of certification of cars we produce, and that confirmation from German railways will make it possible for us to produce for all railway companies all around the world – said Slavković.

Open competition for 197 new workers ended on July 2. Majority owner of the factory became "Azov impex" from Ukraine in April 2006.
