Norway opens the first "highway"for bees

In Norway, the first highway for bees, i.e. bumblebees, was opened. This way, they are trying to help bees survive in hostile environment.
The highway, i.e. corridor, is designed so that on every 250 meters there is a station of pollen.
-The idea is to create a route through the city with sufficient number of stations for food along the route bumblebees go. Sufficient food will enable them survive in the environment which has significantly changed with human actions - local sources announced.
Bumblebees and other insects important for pollination have difficulties in surviving in urban environments where there is not enough flowers.
Due to lack of nectar, bees starve and die which negatively affects entire nature. In Norway, six out of 35 kinds of bumblebees are endangered.
However, with this project, scientists want to change that kind of a trend. From the east to the west of Oslo, they placed flowers at balconies and terraces, and there is mutual cooperation on the project of local authorities, scientists, people who is encouraged to plant plants essential for bees.
