CADEZ: Great opportunities for more efficient cooperation of Serbia and Turkey

President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (SCC), Marko Cadez, said on Friday, May 22, that here are huge options for more efficient economic cooperation of Serbia and Turkey in all economic sectors, starting from textile and food industry, through automotive and electronic to energy and tourism.
- Two countries in larger scope should use advantages of the Agreement on free trade and intensify contacts of businessmen through organizing forum and bilateral meetings – Cadez said in Istanbul at the meeting of the Turkish-Serbian business council.
He outlined that “Serbia sees Turkey as very important economic partner, both at bilateral and multilateral and especially regional plan”.
Preferential status of Serbia in trading with the Russian federation and Customs union countries is very attractive for potential investors from Turkey in production sector, for the placement of finished products in these countries, president of SCC estimated.
At the meeting of the Turkish-Serbian business council, it was agreed that in September 2015, new meeting of the Business council of Serbia-Turkey to be held as well as to intensify cooperation through exchange of economic missions and sectoral meetings of businessmen.
Business council with Turkey has been functioning since April 2002.
