SERTIC: Privatization process must end

Everything that has not ended in the process of privatization during previous 15 years , we have to end now, the minister of trade, Zeljko Sertic, said and added that it will be made possible though three main changes of the Law on privatization.

In his statement for RTS, on Friday night, May 22, 2015, he reminded that one change refers to the fact that companies for which tenders for privatization have already been released get protection until October 31, the second is that the government for specific number fo companies can make decision on protection up to a year and the third to the fact estimation of market value on December 31, 2014.

Sertic said that in these 500 firms, there is 80% of those where privatizations have already been terminated and firms with huge problems.

He warned that May 31, when protection for a company which is blocked by a trustee with payment is over, privatization will end as well.

He said this year, serious transition fund of 16 billion dinars has been prepared in agreement with IMF, not to break the rules.

Sertic said for "Dnevnik" RTS that approval for customs-free export of vehicles to Russia is expected and that procedure is long and that Customs Union should decide on it.
