Insurance from professional responsibility in construction - What does Regulation bring?

New Regulation on terms of insurance from professional responsibility governs terns under which processor of technical documentation, contractor, performer of expert supervision or technical check (Contractor) are insured in case of damage caused to the second of third party. The Regulation is in line with the Law on planning and construction and it became effective as of May 7 this year.

Contractor has an option to sign a contract with an insurance company to achieve insurance from professional responsibility. Insurance from responsibility” refers to protection from consequences of expert mistake which can appear during activities for which a company or a licensed individual are hired.

If damage is caused, the amount of the insurance the Contractor must provide is EUR 15.000 for entrepreneurs and EUR 50.000 for companies and other legal entities.
