Belgrade’s airport "Nikola Tesla" forecasts sharp increase of passenger number after implementation of trans-Atlantic flights next year.

The head at the Airport for investments and development, Ana Lukovic, says final objective is that Belgrade airport becomes regional center.

Airport will spend EUR 15 m of their own funds in expansion of Terminal 2 through the construction of eight new gates and passenger zones, Lukovic adds. After project completion, in mid-2016, the terminal will be ready to serve overseas flights "Wisebroker"reports.

- When the investment cycle ends, capacity of the Airport will be some 7-7,5 million passengers annually – Lukovic concludes.
