Belgian KBC wants DDOR Novi Sad

- Belgian financial KBC Group is interested in purchasing insurance company DDOR from Novi Sad or some other insurance company in Serbia - said General Manager of the Group, Andre Bergen.

He said that KBC, in addition to the bank, wanted to own insurance company in Serbia, and that it was interested in investing in voluntary pension and investment funds.

Total of 13 companies participated in the tender for privatization of DDOR, which was announced one year ago, but the sale was postponed due to parliamentarian elections.

Bergen expressed expectation that broker company KBC Securities would obtain the permit for takeover of broker companies Senzal and Hipobroker, as well as financial company Bastion, prior to the end of July. He pointed out that KBC Group had serious plans for Serbia, which was confirmed by the takeover of A bank for 96.5m EUR.
