Chinese interested in agricultural combined collectives in Serbia

Chinese "Hen Chang Group" is interested in privatization of agricultural combined collectives in Serbia, first of all in Poljoprivredna korporacija Beograd (PKB), the minister of agriculture and environmental protection, Snezana Bogosavljevic Boskovic, said on Monday, May 11, 2015.

After the meeting with company representatives and Chinese Developmental Bank, she said that investors from that country are interested in "PIK Bečej" and “PIK Zemun".

Bogosavljevic Boskovic said the Chinese are interested in taking state-owned agricultural land for rent as well as greenfield investments.


Representative of the Chinese developmental bank in Serbia, Wang Jasheng, said to journalists that the financial institution is very interested in investing in agricultural land and infrastructure in Serbia.


He added that Chinese investors will be presented with advantages of investing in Serbia.
