Renovated surgery ward in Health Center in Zaječar opened – investment worth 3m EUR

Minister of Health Tomica Milosavljević and the Head of the Operative Center of European Agency for Reconstruction, Matias Rajnike, will open renovated surgery ward in the Health Center in that city tomorrow (June 28, 2007).

- Surgery ward has been renovated with the money from the credit approved by European Investment Bank, within the scope of project "Urgent Reconstruction of 20 Hospitals in Serbia" - the Ministry of Health announced.

Total of 3m EUR has been invested in the rehabilitation of Health Center Zaječar, and the center obtained new equipment worth 930,000 EUR, which includes 4D color doppler ultrasound machine and digital x-ray machine.

The reception-triage ward has also been reconstructed and the windows on the main hospital building have been replaced, the boiler room is renovated, as well as heating system, and the works on construction of annex and adaptation of the ward for communicable diseases.
