Construction of highway from Bar to the border with Serbia is starting May 11

Construction of the highway in Montenegro, from Bar to the border with Serbia will start May 11, Montenegrin minister of traffic and navigation Ivan Brajovic, announced on Friday, May 1, 2015.

He said the construction of the first Podgorica-Matesevo highway section, in the direction of Kolasin, will last 48 months.
Chinese Exim bank have paid during the previous days EUR 94,3 m, as the first part of previously approved loan totaling EUR 687 m, for the construction of the first section, 49 km long.

Chinese companies CCCC and CRBC, near Podgorica, have already been making a camp for accommodation of the workforce which will work on the highway construction. As it was announced, a few thousand people will be hired on the project.

Highway from Bar to the border with Serbia, to Boljare, will be 170 km long.
