Changes to the Law on employment adopted

Members of the Serbian Assembly adopted changes to the Law on employment and insurance for the case of unemployment so in the future, compensation for the unemployment will be paid solely when an insurance entity has been working for 12 months uninterruptedly or with interruptions in the past 18 months, Tanjug reports.

Apart from that, adopted changes enable reform of the National Employment Bureau, in line with recommendations of the World Bank as well as labor market and bureau needs.

Commitment was defined for every employee in that service to train and educate constantly and the number of members of the Managing Board is decreasing from nine to seven.
