In village of Cvetojevac, near Kragujevac, on surface of 20 ares, the modern agricultural farm has been formed, the first in Serbia designed according to Israeli technology. These are the plastic hothouses that will have up to 10 times larger crops than the usual ones. This project, worth 300,000 USD, has been developed for four years.
The project has been realized thanks to cooperation between Embassy of Israel, Humanitarian organization from Cvetojevac "Sveti Andrej Prvozvani", American Agency for International DEvelopment (USAID) and City of Kragujevac.
Realization of the project has been entrusted with "Unifood Srbija", which tested climate and quality of land.
All farmers from Cvetojevac will take part in the production. Seriousness of the project is also confirmed by the announcement of opening of Advanced School of Agriculture in neighboring Lapovo, which will gather experts from Belgrade and Israel to hold lectures.
