Cluster BIPOM (Balkanian Industry of Agricultural Machines) is the Association of Manufacturers of Motor-Cultivators and Auxiliary Equipment (for all types of tractors) who are interested in creating network of the Balkanian companies capable of competitive servicing of local buyers and taking over of role of significant supplier of equipment on the market of Southeast Europe, Russia, Ukraine and Africa. Co-founder of this Association is Chamber of Commerce of Serbia (PKS). Contracts on joining BIPOM have been signed in the premises of PKS by ten companies that are ready to quickly build strategic infrastructure, establish business network and, in that way, create conditions for other manufacturers of agricultural machines from Serbia, and from the Balkans, to join the Cluster.
The aim is that 25 companies with 2,500 employees and 250 collaborators be part of the Cluster until 2010 and that 70 - 80% of the production be exported. Production in 2010 should be worth about €250m, €200m of which would be worth of the products exported to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Albania, Romania, Moldavia, Bulgaria, Russia, Ukraine and Africa.
In order to realize that, it is necessary to establish strategic infrastructure and set basis for increase in value of production per employee to €50,000 on annual basis. This requires directing of development activities to thorough innovations and harmonization of assortment with the demands of the world market.
