In the new sulphur acid smelter in Bor, the first copper quantity was produced in line with the most modern technology and European environmental standards.

According to GM at RTB "Bor" Blagoje Spaskovski, apart from development of production, it was necessary to provide clear sky above the city and environment.

After three and a half years of work, design and construction and then functional testing of new smelter and sulphur acid plant as well as all its additional facilities where some EUR 250 m were poured, on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 22,30, the first copper was produced from new piro-pyrometallurgy facilities, the first anode in line with autogenous flesh smelting technology was made and the first 150 tons of anode copper went out.

Spaskovski tanked everybody, as he said, who contributed to construction of new pyrometallurgy facilities in Bor and did everything to put this new smelter and sulphur acid plant into operation.

The work of new smelter at RTB "Bor" will, on the one hand, double copper production, precious metals and sulphur acid while on the other hand, clean technology will finally bring clear sky in Bor and its surroundings.
