Koridori Srbije paid Akter EUR 12,5 m

"Koridori Srbije" paid to Greek "Akter", a contractor at Corridor 10, through the annex of the contract additional advance payment of EUR 12,5 m at today’s exchange rate, the minister of infrastructure, traffic and infrastructure, Zorana Mihajlovic, has said today and announced the Ministry will insist on audit of business at Koridori Srbije.

Mihajlovic specified that this way, RSD 149 billion, i.e. EUR 12, 5 m at today’s exchange rate was paid to Akter.

-Apart from the first agreed 10%, advanced payment of additional 10 percent was approved as financial support” to the contractor whose implementation of the works is not aligned with the agreed dynamics. Annexes to contracts were signed for additional annexes – Mihajlovic explained for Blic.

She added that kind of practice is not a common one in these so-called FIDIC contracts, especially having in mind that the method and terms of previous tender thus changed.

When asked whether in this case there is also the resposibilty of the Ministry, Mihajlovic said that relations of Koridori Srbija as an investor and a contractor has been defined with special contracts and that the Ministry is not a contracting party so all problematic situations will be delivered to authorized institutions.
