"Jat tehnika" needs financial advisor – deadline for delivery of bids is June 29

Privatization Agency has announced open competition for selection of financial advisor for privatization of company for maintenance of airplanes "Jat tehnika", which was separated from the national airliner in 2005.

The deadline for delivery of bids is June 29, 2007, and the condition is that the advisor has experience with tender privatization in transition countries. Company "Jat tehnika", which deals with the maintenance of airplanes, engines, airplane components and provision of special services, had profit 157,113 EUR in 2006, with the incomes from sales amounting to 18.7m EUR. Share of the incomes of "Jat tehnika" on the market of Serbia amounts to 69%, while 31% of incomes came from the foreign markets.

The aim of selection of financial advisor is to attract domestic or foreign strategic partner or consortium of investors who have knowledge and financial strength to improve efficiency and development of the company.

The condition is that the partner has experience with work in this industry and with the preparation of financial analyses in the countries of central-east Europe.

At the end of the last year, Belgrade-based "Jat tehnika" had 974 workers, and its services were used by company "Jat Airways" and foreign airliners.

According to the earlier texts of Belgrade’s newspapers, the largest world company for maintenance of airplanes "ST Engineering" from Singapore is seriously interested in privatization of "Jat tehnika".
