VUCIC: Zelezara to be profitable in May

Serbian Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, said on Saturday, April 4, 2015, that Zelezara Smederevo decreased its losses and that he expects the company will be profitable in May.

He said in January Zelezara generated minus of nine million euros, that in March minus is “15 times lower” and that in April it will total half a million.

He specified savings were generated on purchase of raw materials such as coke where savings of two million dollars a month was generated.

Vucic communicated, as he said, “encouraging data” on situation of Serbian economy.

According to him, budget deficit decreased more than expected so in Q1 it totals RSD 21,4 billion.
Vucic said that kind of result was generated than to higher income and better payment collection and decrease in expenditure.

He said he is not satisfied with investing in capital investments since they total "only 2,5 billion" in January and February and that the state will see they increase significantly in the next months.
