Euro-Asfalt, a construction company from Bosnia-Herzegovina, is going to build a stretch of Bar-Boljari highway in Montenegro, and the estimated value of these works is about KM 70 million (EUR 35.7 million).

The next month should see the contract officially signed and all the details of this engagement disclosed, the web portal Klix.ba reports.

Reminding that Montenegro is the only country in the Balkans that has no highway, the portal points out that this can change in four years, when the first stretch of Bar-Boljari highway, the one connecting Smokovac and Matesevo, should be finished.

The first highway in Montenegro will be built by Chinese companies, while a loan for this purpose will be approved by China's Exim Bank.

Euro-Asfalt is going to participate in this project as a subcontractor.

Works will commence at the time when a series of projects on the highway in Bosnia-Herzegovina are expected to be completed, and Euro-Asfalt, as one of the largest civil engineering companies in Bosnia-Herzegovina, is going to hire people and machinery in Montenegro.
