Night vision eyedrops invented

Utilizing the principles and matters related to some deep sea fish, biohackers from the USA have managed to invent eyedrops that allow people to see in the dark! Of all the unpleasant things scientists do to make sure their invention is usable, one of the worst is to inject something in your eye, the web portal Engadget.com reports.
That is exactly the kind of experiment so-called biohackers from California's Science for the Masses collective had to perform in order to confirm that their invention gives people an ability to temporarily see in the dark.
The eyedrops they invented contain Chlorin e6 (Ce6), which increases the reception of light and is extracted from deep sea fish.
Biohackers mixed Ce6 with insulin and saline to get a solution that enables night vision at distances up to 50 meters.
In order to confirm their invention is working, they had to inject the eyedrops into the eyeballs of Gabriel Licina, one of the members of Science for the Masses collective.
This gave him the ability to effectively see in the dark at distances up to 50 meters.
Licina describes initially being able to first spot shapes the size of his hand, then written symbols and moving objects at a distance of 10 meters. At 50 meters, he could easily find people standing still in front of trees. In fact, he spotted them every single time while a control group was successful only about 30 percent of the time.
Biohackers stress that the chemical should be handled by experts only.
