Investments are essential to the growth of purchasing power in the countries of the region, and one of the best examples is Agrokor, its Executive President Ante Todoric said at a regional conference for businessmen in Belgrade.
- Agrokor is one of the best indicators that it is possible to succeed and make competitive investments in this region - Todoric stressed and added that Agrokor was successful not only in Croatia, where it implemented a large number of medium and small investments, but also in Slovenia, where it owned the market chain Mercator, Serbia, where Agrokor had invested in Zrenjanin-based Dijamant and Mivela water factory, in Bosnia-Herzegovina, where it owned Kiseljak.
Also, he noted that the Mercator unit in Serbia was always reinvesting its profits in Serbia, adding that he expected an investment in the Mercator store.
- We are also considering opening a large distribution center - Todoric told Hina news agency and added they had interesting plans for Serbia.
He did not want to comment on speculations in the Belgrade press that Agrokor wanted to buy Victoria oil, that is, its trademark - Iskon oild.
