BAJATOVIC: Gas price decline as of April

GM at Srbijagas, Dusan Bajatovic, said citizens will see on their April bills that gas price decreased but he did not say how much.

In the break of the conference "Energy perspectives of the region" Bajatovic said to journalists that gas price decrease will depend on price of “networking”, gas transport and dollar exchange rate.

According to Bajatovic, in the next quarter, gas price will decrease from USD 340 to 270 for 1000 cubic meters i.e. that as of July 1, the price at the Bregovo station where gas is distributed to Serbia from Hungary, will be USD 220, Beta reports.

In his commenting claims of Srbijagas, Bajatovic said that they are EUR 300 m higher than the debts of the public company. Claims of Srbijagas are EUR 1,4 billion and the company owns to banks EUR 600 m, a NIS-u from EUR 220 to 230 m.

He outlined that he does not know what will happen to debts of MSK Kikinda and the situation is similar with payment collection from heating plants.

The Minister of mining and energy, Aleksandar Antic, said that in state budget for this year funds were not planned for Srbijagas or for procurement of fuel and other debts settlement of the company.

Srbijagas, Antic said, must achieve health system and its restructuring has been implemented in cooperation with IMF, EBRD and the World Bank.

At the same time, the Energy Agency (AERS) has communicated today there are no conditions to change gas price for households and small customers.
