Communal waste treatment project in Belgrade presented to investors

(Illustration) The mayor of Belgrade, Sinisa Mali and the regional manager for West Balkans of the International Financial Corporation (IFC), member of the World Bank Group, Tomas Lubek have presented to investors today at the City Assembly the waste management public and private partnership project in Vinca.

The mayor outlined that waste management at the territory of Belgrade is one of the biggest problems in the city.

The mayor said that after today’s conference, the City of Belgrade together with the World Bank, will start preparing documentation which is essential for tender.

– The project totals between EUR 250 and 300 m. It is bringing new vacancies, better environmental image as well as solving problems we have been encountering for years and it refers to large landfills such as Vinca and a large number of wild landfills – Mali said and thanked to everybody who participated in the conference preparation and support the project.
