Curious compensation for City Transportation Company in Zagreb

Manager of Zagreb’s city transportation company Ivan Tolić was very surprised when certain citizen called him and apologized for driving without ticket in buses and trams when he was a student.

In order to soothe his conscience, this man deposited 6,000 HRK (65,000 RSD) on the account of the city transportation company. For doing this, he received gratitude from the Mayor of Zagreb Milan Bandić, who, putting into operation new buses that use bio-diesel, expressed the hope that maybe all others who drove without ticket would come to their senses.
