Germany is building new embassy building in Belgrade - Works total EUR 19 m

Former office of Germany in Knez Milosa street in Belgrade has recently been demolished and until 2018, new German embassy should be built. A total of EUR 19 m will be invested in new building.

The facility from 1977 has been out of function since 2012 and only a year ago it was decided that it will be demolished.

As it has been announced today at the website of the State Agency for construction and planning of Germany, the decision was made after it was established that the building does not comply with safety terms in case of earthquake. After cleaning the field, which is planned for April 16, the construction site should step into the construction stage.

Deadline is planned for 2018 and until then citizens can turn to embassy officers who are temporary placed in Neznani junak 1 or in consular department in Bircaninova 19a.
