Turkey's Halkbank officially new owner of Cacanska Banka
Halkbank from Turkey has won the tender to acquire the shares of Cacanska Banka, the Finance Ministry announced in a release. An agreement on the sale of shares will be signed today.
This agreement, which Blic says is worth over ten million euros, will be signed by Finance Minister Dusan Vujovic on behalf of Serbia and by Halkbank CEO Ali Fuat Tashkesenliolu on behalf of that bank.
Cacanska Banka is a regional bank with a business network of 14 affiliates and 9 branches that mainly cover the territory of western and central Serbia. With balance sheet assets totaling EUR 263 million and a market share of 1.1%, Cacanska banka ranks 18th in the domestic banking market.
