"Zastava elektro" signed business contract with company "Delphi" - production of electric installations for "opel kabrio"

- In the privatized company "Zastava elektro" in Rača Kragujevačka, the trial production of electric installations for automobile of make "opel kabrio" commenced, and the production of electric installations for "punto", "punto grande" and "volkswagen" will start by the end of the year - said one of the owners of that company, Ranko Dejanović.

- The contract on production was signed with multinational company "Delphi" from Illinois, USA, that is, with its factory in Italy, which delivered up-to-date equipment for production of electric installations, worth few million euros, to the factory in Rača - said Dejanović and reminded that "Delphi" covered 34% of world production of electric installations and that it employed 250,000 workers in its factories all around the world.

He reminded that 60 former workers were given their jobs back, and, thanks to these new works, another 71 workers would return, among which were 11 engineers and economists.

According to his words, total of 1,500 workers should be employed in the factory in Rači by mid-2008.
