Talks on the how decision on 15%-electricity increase will end tomorrow, as Blic finds out.

- The end of the winter season, i.e. April 16, will be, in line with the current plan, the day of electricity pricelist change. Practically, the existing price of kilowatt will increase by 7,5% on the average. Excise of 50 paras and then VAT of 20% will be calculated on that amount - the source from the Government explains for Blic.

It means that during April, EPS would conduct two measuring of household counters and the bill for that month would contain a part of charges at old and new price.

As Blic finds out, during previous week, there were intensive talks between EPS representatives and the Ministry of Finance on the excise payment method.

-The existing law implies that excise as well as VAT is calculated on delivered and invoiced services and goods, in this case kilowatts. However, the head of EPS, Aleksandar Obradovic insists on excise is calculated and paid to budget only for paid bills. He explains EPS is now facing serious problems since ut pays VAT for every sent bill regardless of the fact that many of them have not been paid. - the source of Blic reveals.

IMF representatives expect the Government will do what it committed to in the deadline it set itself.

Only for households

Unlike previous electricity price increases, when it was planned for business and citizens, this increase of kilowatts price refers only to households. Economy, in line with electricity market liberalization has already been paying higher electricity price. However, their bills will be increased, this time for the excise amount.
