Tender for the second stage of construction of Scientific- Technological park in Novi Sad released

The European Investment Bank published tender for the construction of the second stage of the building of the Scientific- Technological park of the University in Novi Sad. , which is part of the Faculty of technical sciences. The building will have 29.000 m2 and will be located at the corner of Fruskogorska street and Bulevar Cara Lazara, at the place of the old TMD building and assembling facility next to it.

The objective of the faculty construction is to enable researchers employed at the Faculty of technical sciences to turn their researches results into products, services, processes or software which will find its place at the market, the University announced. Apart from that, it should enable increased visibility of the University and Faculty at the international and local economic and research environment as well as to support entrepreneurs in high tech field to generate better market results in cooperation with the Faculty of technical sciences.

It was planned that in three to five years, a few thousands young engineers who graduate at the Faculty of technical sciences will work here. The European Investment Bank set aside funds totaling EUR 13m for the construction through the Project Implementation Unit and the Fcaulty of technical sciences.
