Works on construction of Zezelj's Bridge to continue soon?

Provincial government members were informed at the meeting on the activities of the working group established by the Government so that it would, in cooperation with Zeleznice Srbije and the Ministry of construction of Serbia find adequate solution to continue works on the construction of the Zezelj Bridge, in the interest of the Vojvodina province and the City of Novi Sad.

The works on bridge construction have been halted for longer period of time due to unsolved issues between investors – Zeleznice Srbije and the contractor and the problem is in unforeseen additional works which, according to contractor’s opinion could not have been predicted at the moment of delivering and offer and for which there had not been legal framework and documentation for payment additional works based on the law and thus the option that AP Vojvodina and the City of Novi Sad as financiers to carry out payment to contractor.

As it was stated, last week, necessary documentation was obtained for new works payment. Therefore, working group of the Provincial government suggested a few solutions to overcome the existing problem and find model for payment of funds essential for the works to continue and these suggestions were delivered to the members of the working group of the Government of Serbia and the resource republic ministry for their opinion.
