Proposal of lex specialis for Belgrade on water

The Government of Serbia delivered to the Assembly to urgently adopt proposal of lex specialis on defining public interest and special procedures of expropriation and construction permit issuance for Belgrade on water project.

In the explanation of the proposal published at the website of the Assembly of Serbia it was stated that without lex specialis adoption, proposal fo defining public interest could not comprise facilities for tourism, catering, business and residential facilities which should be built at that location.

It is expected that more than 13.000 people will work in new facilities and that 17.000 will work here.

Estimated cost for space maintenance, infrastructure construction and expropriation total RSD 33 billion and the Government expects that income based on construction land maintenance fee at Belgrade on water location will be RSD 33,7 billion.

It was said the Government of Serbia adopted regulation which defines Spatial plan for special purpose area for Belgrade on water and which became effective January 31, 2015. Costs of the City of Belgrade fo construction land maintenance will be defined with the contract between the City of Belgrade and the Republic of Serbia.
