VUCIC: Prokop will be completed by January 27, 2016

The Serbian Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, visited on Friday, March 6, 2015, works the Prokop railway stations and said the works will end by January 27 next year.

Vucic said he is satisfied with the works carried out by Energoprojekt and with the fact that the Raiways of Serbia succeeded in decreasing price from forecast of EUR 28 m to 25,7 ,.

The Prime Minister reminded the works on Prokop started in 1974, 41 years ago and that the works have not been conducted since 1996.

According to him, it takes more funds to continue works on Prokop which , as he said, the Kuwait Development Fund offered to fund but that the state will try to provide the assets from its own funds.

He added that construction of Prokop is a part of wider plan in problem-solving in Serbian railways.

Speaking about investments, the prime minister outlined it is very important to pour funds in capital investments since it is the way to increase GDP.
