The first copper anode will, in line with business dynamics, be spilled March 28.

Construction of new smelter and the Plant for suplphur acid at RTB Bor started June 28, 2011. The entire project of construction with all supplementary facilities and departments totaled EUR 251 m. The heart of the system is new smelting furnace which will, in line with the most modern flash smelting technology process annually 400 thousand tons of copper concentrate which will give 80 thousand tons of cathode copper. Some 900 tons of Austrian and Polish magnetite fire-proof clay was installed in it.

Through this project, the Mine and smelter basin Bor will reduce costs of copper processing from USD 1.250 to 700, GM at RTB Bor, Blagoje Spaskovski said earlier for Tanjug.

Still, the most important is environmental component because Bor and the surrounding environment will no longer be a black environmental spot on the map of Europe.
